The revitalization master plan project for the Alt-
Salbke area in Magdeburg consists of an attentive and
holistic design approach, to provide solutions to many
challenges of the site ranging from urban morphology
and mobility to social and public life in the neighborhood.
In terms of connections and contiguity, the city of
Magdeburg contains many vital features that define the
site and maximizes its potential as an urban junction point.
The city of Magdeburg is also in close connection with the
larger cities of Germany, especially Berlin, via a long-distance
transportation network including motorways, railways, and
waterways
