The project aims to create a meaningful composition by
integrating different landscape types through the use of their
shapes, materials, and functions into the landscape design.
The “Blend of Landscapes” project theme symbolizes the rich
and diverse natural and cultural landscape characters of the
Almaty region and Kazakhstan geography. Its nature provides a
unique chance to mutually observe mountain forests consisting
of both saxaul and coniferous ecosystems and several of the
world’s largest lakes on the one hand; savannahs, shrublands,
and grasslands on the other hand. Also, the cultural treasury
such as hand crafts and traditional patterns of the nation
makes possible to be reflected on the physical environment to
support enhance the natural landscape characters.
